Yvonne G. (Paradis) Naylor, 91, of Maynard Street, Attleboro, died on Tuesday evening, February 26, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Stephen P. Naylor who died on February 4, 1994. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 6, 1922, she was one of fourteen children born to the late Delphis J. B. and Aurore A. (Rene) Paradis. She was raised and educated in her native city of Attleboro having attended St. Joseph School and Attleboro High School. Mrs. Naylor left the Attleboro area in 1948 and went to Miami, Florida where she resided for four years when she moved to Arlington, Virginia where she lived until 2009 when she returned to Attleboro. She started her professional career with New England Telephone and Telegram in Attleboro and upon arriving in Miami; she was employed by the former Southern Bell Telephone Company for four years. Once she moved to Virginia, Mrs. Naylor was employed in Washington, DC for Chesapeake Telephone Company and later in Virginia for Bell Atlantic from which she retired in 1974 as chief operator. In her youth she was a communicant of the former St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in the Dodgeville section of Attleboro where the Paradis family was raised. In Arlington, Virginia she was an active communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Women's Council. An ardent Washington Redskins fan, Mrs. Naylor also enjoyed reading, playing bingo, watching CNN and solving puzzles. She was artistic and enjoyed creating various arts and crafts and oil paintings. Mrs. Naylor is survived by her two remaining siblings: Anna St. Pierre of Central Falls, Rhode Island and Ernest Paradis of Attleboro and three generations of nieces and nephews. She was the beloved sister of the late Doris Johnson, Rita Laferriere, Henri Paradis, Joseph Paradis, Olivier Paradis, Lorraine Dorothy, Irene Fontaine, Lucie Cloutier, Delphis Paradis, Arthur Paradis and Lionel Paradis. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation and celebrate her life on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Family and friends are encouraged to attend the Funeral Service immediately upon the conclusion of visitation on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery, Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. Flowers are accepted.
