Yvonne Helen Miller

Yvonne Helen (Thomas) Miller, 90, of Bourne, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Steven Miller, to whom she was married for sixty three years.Born on September 5, 1927 in Milford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Marion (Laferierre) Thomas.A graduate of North Attleboro High School, Yvonne cherished her role as a homemaker, wife, and mother.A resident on Bourne for thirty years, where she lived on the Cape Cod Canal and was a longtime member of the Gray Gables Association, she previously lived in North Attleboro, where she was a member of St. Mark's Church.Yvonne enjoyed gardening, knitting and needle work, playing tennis, and appreciated a fine glass of wine. A generous and caring woman, she volunteered for the food pantry in Pocasset, MA, and for her community library. More than anything, she treasured being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was the loving mother of Karen Ann Fair of Nashua, NH; Lynn S. Lavery and her partner, Ronald Swidrak, of Bourne, MA; Lori Marie Brodeur and her husband, Drew A. Brodeur, of South Royalton, VT; and Randy S. Miller and his wife, Emily L. Miller, of Cumberland, RI. She was the proud grandmother of Jennifer Lyn Fair, Hazen S. Masterson, Matthew K. Fair, Derek A. Brodeur, Tabitha M. Garland, Erin Marie Miller, John R. Reilly II, Chelsea L. Reilly, Ryan Steven Miller, and Benjamin Steven Brodeur; and an adoring great-grandmother who was looking forward to the birth of another great-grandchild in September. Yvonne was the sister of the late Raymond Thomas, and leaves several nieces and nephews.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls , MA.Graveside services will immediately follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls, MA.
