Willis B. Goodwin, born July 16, 1938, in Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home in Attleboro on October 20, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
Willis attended Seekonk Schools and East Providence High School before proudly serving in the United States Coast Guard. A man of many talents, he built a career as a chef, sharing his love for cooking with family, friends, and colleagues.
Outside the kitchen, he was an avid gardener and skilled boat builder, known for his craftsmanship, patience, and deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Willis will be remembered for his quiet strength, gentle humor, and the joy he found in simple pleasures - tending his garden, creating meals from the heart, building boats by hand, and spending time with those he loved most.
He was the beloved son of the late George and Lenetta (Holmes) Goodwin, the devoted husband of Sandra Goodwin, and sibling of George R Goodwin and Diane Grocott. Willis is survived by his loving daughters, Julie Noyes and her husband, Michael, of East Freetown, Massachusetts, and Jodi Higgins and her husband, Kevin, of Simpsonville, South Carolina.
He will be deeply missed by his four cherished grandchildren - Kendra Bellonio, Paul and wife Kate Mulligan, Allie and husband Andrew Frigault, Emily Noyes and her fiancé Kevin McLaughlin - as well as his two great-grandsons, Theo and Otis Mulligan.
