William Waldo Walker, Jr., 85, of Pimental Drive, Seekonk, died on Thursday, November 27, 2014 following a long illness at the Life Care Center of Attleboro where he had been a resident since June 2014. He was the devoted and caring husband of Irene E. (Roy) Walker to whom he was married on September 15, 1976. Born in Warwick, Rhode Island on January 14, 1929, Mr. Walker was a son of the late William W. Walker, Sr. and Hazel (Kingston) Walker. He was raised and educated in the City of Warwick where he was a graduate of Gorton High School. Mr. Walker resided in Seekonk since 1970. Prior to his retirement in 1994, Mr. Walker was employed as a professional cook for the former Eileen Darling's Restaurant in Seekonk for more than 25 years. He enjoyed reading and gardening. In addition to his wife of 38 years, he leaves his children: William W. Walker III of Austin, Texas; Donna Albertson in Oklahoma and two additional daughters whom reside in Rhode Island; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister: Mildred Holmes of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; a brother: Robert of Massachusetts and his devoted daughter-in-law: Deborah (Halliday) Beauvais, wife of his late stepson - Richard E. Beauvais, who died in 1987. Private visitation and funeral services will be held from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a private burial in Seekonk Cemetery, Seekonk. The Rev. Kelly Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational "Oldtown" Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro will officiate services. Please do not send flowers.
