William Francis Silva, 53, of Colburn Street, North Attleboro, died on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an illness of over two years. He was the husband of Cynthia L. (Spencer) Silva to whom he was married on November 14, 1992. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on March 13, 1959, he was a son of the late John A. Silva, Sr. and Theresa M. (Hebert) Silva. He was raised and educated in Dedham until moving to Walpole at the age of 16. He continued his education in Walpole where he was a graduate of Walpole High School. Mr. Silva was employed as a driver technician for Healthwise in Norwood for six years until his illness prevented him from working. He attended the Central Congregational Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls with his family. His boys will remember a father whom was loving and devoted to his cherished children. Mr. Silva was a resident of North Attleboro since 1994 having moved to the community from Newton where he was a resident from 1992 - 1994. A fan of blues music, he was also a guitarist. Mr. Silva enjoyed cooking and barbequing and was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons: Andrew E. Silva, age 17, and Thomas E. Silva, age 9, both at home in North Attleboro; his siblings: John A. Silva, Jr. of Cotuit; Manuel Silva of Seabrook, New Hampshire, formerly of Dedham; Jeanne Gutowski of Plymouth; Marc Silva of Buzzards Bay; Joseph Silva in Virginia; Elizabeth Kelley of Holbrook; Anthony Silva of Acton and Michael Silva of Groton; many nieces, nephews, members of his wife's family, extended family members and friends. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
