William Frederick Roberts

William "Bill" Frederick Roberts, 85, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Golden Living Center - George Street, in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Ruth Margaret (Nichols) Roberts, to whom he was married on October 10, 1953.Born on November 23, 1930 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late William George Roberts and the late Dorothy Davis (Kenney) Roberts. Bill proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Medford Vocational High School, and worked for twenty-five years as a Machine Operator for Automatic Machine Products, Co.in Attleboro, MA before retiring in 1992. He worked at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA as a Courier for the Laboratories.He resided in North Attleboro for more than fifty years, having previously lived in Medford, MA. Bill found enjoyment in his home, where he liked to garden, tending to his flowers and plants, and his cats: "Mickey" and "Minnie". Bill dearly loved his family, and particularly time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by his beloved children: Donna M. Roberts and her companion, James Mancuso, of Attleboro, MA; Garry M. Roberts and his wife, Deborah Roberts, of South Attleboro, MA; William G. Roberts and his wife, Sandra Roberts, of North Attleboro, MA; Karen R. (Roberts) Marshall and her husband, Gordon Marshall, of North Attleboro, MA; Susan C. (Roberts) Wolfsberger and her husband, Karl Wolfsberger, of North Attleboro, MA; John M. Roberts and his wife, Kerry Roberts, of North Attleboro, MA; Jeffrey P. Roberts of Attleboro, MA; and Scott G. Roberts of North Attleboro, MA. He leaves twelve cherished grandchildren: Marc, Kyle, Sarah, Eric, Kayla, Jordan, Tyler, Shelby, Sydney, Meghan, Jenna, and Jake; and three treasured great-grandchildren: Brailyn, Kenneth, and Charlie.He was the brother of Barbara A. (Roberts) Hassell and her late husband, Robert Hassell, of AZ; Sandra L. (Roberts) Hammond and her husband, Richard T. Hammond, of Plainville, MA; Dorothy Susan (Roberts) Nowell and her husband, Burt Nowell, of FL; and Kenneth A. Roberts, and his wife, Vicki Roberts, of Gloucester, MA. He leaves many nieces and nephews, and his extended family.Bill was the brother of the late Ellen M.
