William Henry Reed, Sr.

William Henry Reed, Sr., 82, who resided in Bradford, Vermont, received his wings on March 21, 2017 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction, Vermont. He was born on November 6, 1934 in Mansfield, MA, and served in the United States Air Force as an Airman 2nd Class from 1957 until 1961.William enjoyed flying Piper Cub airplanes, race horses, card games, gardening, and fishing. In William's final years he found great enjoyment in caring for and spending time with his family, as well as his chickens. William was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Ann; his parents, William W. Reed and Myrtle L. Reed; and his siblings: Mary Reed, Fred Reed, Donald Reed, and Mildred Reed. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Martha Bennett and his brother-in-law, Andrew Bennett; and his children: Gwendolyn Reed; Kimberly Reed; William H. Reed, Jr.; Karolina Reed; and his son-in-law Chris O'Donnell. He leaves one nephew, seven nieces, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Graveside Service on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield, MA.
