William "Bill" Lawrence

William "Bill" Lawrence, 92, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. He was the beloved husband of Margaret M. (Guilbeault) Lawrence, to whom he was wed on November 7, 1953.Born on January 3, 1924 in Somerset, MA, he was a son of the late Manuel Lawrence and the late Mary (Cody) Lawrence.A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, Bill retired after working for many years at Health-Tex, Inc. and as a Quality Control Inspector for the FRAM Corporation. He was an active member of St. Leo the Great Church in Pawtucket. Bill loved horseback riding, most everything having to do with the West and cowboys, and was an avid bowler. Bill genuinely loved baseball: he loved to play, to go to games, and to watch baseball on television.In addition to his wife, Margaret, he is survived by his two beloved children: William Lawrence, Jr. and his wife, Denise Lawrence, of Enfield, CT; and Timothy J. Lawrence of Pawtucket, RI. Bill was the adoring grandfather of Stephen Lawrence of Seekonk, MA, and was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.Funeral and burial services will be privately held.
