William S. Lambert, Sr.

December 24, 1927 — April 8, 2012

William S. Lambert, Sr., 84, of Middleboro; formerly of North Attleboro; died on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Oak Hill Golden Living Center in Middleboro where he had resided for the past two years. He was the husband of the late Claire M. (Pariseau) Neveux Lambert to whom he was married on August 19, 1979 and who died on October 1, 2008. Born in Lincoln, Rhode Island on December 24, 1927, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Agnes Lambert. He was a 1945 graduate of Pawtucket High School. Mr. Lambert served in the United States Marine Corps from 1945 until his honorable discharge in 1947. He achieved the rank of Corporal. Mr. Lambert resided in Kennebunk, Maine from 1979 - 2005 when he and his wife moved to North Attleboro where he resided until moving to Middleboro two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert were the owners and operators of "The Life Saver", a small convenience store located along Maine's coastal waters in Wells Beach. While residing in Maine, Mr. Lambert was a member of the Lions Club and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He leaves three stepdaughters: Michel Abernathy of North Attleboro; Sandra A. Schweinshaut of Jamestown, Rhode Island and Nicole E. McInerney of North Attleboro; a stepson: Henry E. "Chip" Neveux, III of Smithfield, Rhode Island; four children: Bonnie David, Brooke Congdon, Rebecca Fischl and William S. Lambert, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; two brothers: Warren Lambert and Benjamin Lambert and several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. A private graveside service for immediate family only will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Shepardville Cemetery, Plainville. Burial will follow.
