William Francis Downey, Sr.

William F. Downey, Sr., 69, of Attleboro, MA, formerly of Boston, passed away on May 13, 2015.He as a former Cab Driver for Boston City Cab Company for many years.He was the son of the late Robert M. and Dorothy A. (DeCosta) Downey, and the father of Robert M. Downey and his wife, Jessica Vansack-Downey, of Boston and William F. Downey, Jr. and his companion, Kimberly A. Beckman, of North Attleboro. Grandfather of Sagan Downey. He was the brother of Dorothy Cress of Methuen, and the former husband of Donna J. Rego of North Attleboro and the uncle of a nephew and a niece. Funeral services are private, with burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Homeless Veterans of Boston.
