William A. Cauldwell, 89 of North Attleboro, MA., passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14,2024, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary L. (Gasbarro) Cauldwell and father of the late Timothy Cauldwell.
Born on February 1,1935, in North Attleboro, MA., he was the son of the late Alexander and Betsy (Middlebrook) Cauldwell.
Bill was a carpenter and worked many years with his brother Alex and 2 nephews Gregory and Colin Cauldwell . He then moved on to Technical Plastics where he supervised the maintenancedepartment. His final career was at Apollo Security for Putnam Investments. He greeted employees, each day, with a big smile. Bill loved people and made dear friends everywhere he went. He certainly had the gift of gab and was interested in everything. He was extremely intelligent and well read. He was a natural born teacher and took every opportunity to share his knowledge. Bill loved nature and spent most of his free time with his immediate and extended family camping, hiking and traveling. Both he and his late wife Mary who celebrated 63 years of marriage were always up for an adventure. They shared many trips to the Caribbean visiting their daughter, Janet.
Bill was a very devoted husband and father and had many dear friends, nieces, and nephews. Linda Carter was a very special niece who provided compassionate care and friendship for many years. He had many friends and relatives that took the time to call and visit right up to the end of his life. These include Colin and Gregory Cauldwell, Kelly and Ryan Byrne, Kimberly Beck, Fernanda and Bill Muggle, Sue Paquin, Paulo Montial, Joe and Sara Leblanc. Paula Gagnon and John Tingley who met Bill and Linda for breakfast every other week at Bliss dairy.
Bill is survived by his loving daughter, Janet Sweeney and her husband Michael Monsour of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He was the devoted brother of the late Alex, Raymond, Clancy and John Cauldwell.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, 565 Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.
