William "Bill" R. King, Jr., 37, of New Bedford, MA, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was the husband of Amanda L. (Dinger) King with whom he shared nine years of marriage.Son of William R. King, Sr. and his wife, Carol Parent of Thompson, CT and Theresa A. (Quartarone) King and her companion, James Hennessy of Walpole, MA.Born in Norwood, MA, was raised and educated in Wrentham then moved to Bristol, RI and resided in New Bedford since 2010.He graduated from King Philip Regional High School and Roger Williams University and was employed as a Food and Nutrition Manager at Rhode Island Hospital.Bill was a talented musician who played the bass guitar and had previously played with the bands Taunt the Jester, Hideaway and, most notably, The Hollow Sound. Though a talented musician, what truly defined him was his dedication and love for his children, friends and family. In addition to his wife and parents, his family includes his two daughters: Lilah Theresa King and Avery Dawn King, both of New Bedford; two brothers, Andrew W. King of Walpole and Daniel J. King of Norfolk; his maternal grandmother, Thelma A. Schmidt of Franklin; his mother and father-in-law, Theresa and Donald Dinger of Long Island, NY; his brother-in-law, Brian Dinger of Long Island, NY and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on November 20, 2022, from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of theDyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
