Rev. Willard "Bill" S. Robinson, 80, of Attleboro, MA passed away in the presence of his beloved wife, Gretchen A. (Chaffee) Robinson, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Life Care Center of Attleboro where he had been a resident since November 2022. He had faced Parkinson's Disease with fortitude and courage.
Born in Attleboro, MA on July 9, 1943, he was the only child of the late Willard "Red" R. Robinson and the late Dorothy (Cassidy) Robinson. He attended Attleboro schools.
He received his MBA from Northeastern University in Boston and later his master's degree in divinity from Andover Newton Theological School.
As a pastor, he served church communities at Bell Street Chapel, a Unitarian Universalist Church in Providence, Rhode Island. He served as the interim pastor of First Parish Church in Salem. MA and lastly at the First Parish Church in Canton, MA.
He was a member of Murray Unitarian Universalist Church in Attleboro, MA. He was active in local musical groups and also performed volunteer work throughout the community.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his son: Ian Robinson and his wife, Kimberly Robinson, and their children: Alyia and Alija Robinson, all of Raleigh, North Carolina
A Celebration of His Life will be held on September, 23, 2023 at 11am at Murray Unitarian Universalist Church, 505 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
The Burial will be private at a later date. He will rest in the church's memorial garden.
At the conclusion of services, an invitation will be extended to gather for continued fellowship and refreshments in Fellowship Hall.
