Wilfred "Willy" Rudolph Hall, Jr., 76, of Plainville, MA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at home, surrounded and supported by his loving family, friends, and neighbors. He was the beloved husband of Ruth Ann (Sullivan) Hall, to whom he was married for almost forty-five years.Born on December 10, 1939 in Medford, MA, he was the son of the late Wilfred Rudolph Hall, Sr., and Hazel (Gross) Hall, and the grandson of Bessie Ann Merritt.Willy was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1958, and was retired, having worked for forty-four years as an R & D Machinist for IEC Damon Engineering in Allston and Needham, MA. He proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army. A resident of Plainville for the past forty-one years, Willy was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed the simpler things in life. He long enjoyed his summer camping vacations with his family, and his annual white water rafting/golfing/fishing trips called "the Goo Goo" with his long-time buddies. He also enjoyed his Friday night card games with his faithful poker pals. He was especially proud of his Hole-in-One at Heather Hill in 2008. Willy and his wife always made the most of each day. In his last years, he and his wife turned his frequent doctors appointments into fun-filled dinner dates that always included some Keno. Willy always valued time spent with his beloved family.In addition to his loving wife, Ruth Ann, he is survived by his cherished children: David E. Hall and Melanie (Hall) Lacourse and her husband, Robert Lacourse, Jr.; and two treasured grandchildren. Willy is further survived by his dear sister Elizabeth (Hall) Nuttall and her husband, George Nuttall, of Wilmington, MA. He leaves many nephews, his niece, their children, and many dear friends.Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation with Veteran's Honors on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. In the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home - 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service with full Military Honors immediately following Visitation at 1:00 p.m. at Dyer- Lake Funeral Home, Ann Boltz officiating.Children's room is available during the visitation and funeral service. Burial services will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Willy's name to The Wounded Warrior Project, P. O.
