Wilbur Embert Tribou

Wilbur Embert Tribou, 91, of Cross Street, Rehoboth, MA, peacefully passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Elizabeth (Williston) Tribou, to whom he was married for fifty-one years and who died in 1998. Born on April 23, 1924, in Quincy, MA, he was the son of Lloyd H. Tribou and May Elizabeth (Parry) Tribou. A graduate of Weymouth High School, he proudly and honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was a skilled Carpenter and Draftsman by trade. A resident of Rehoboth for many years, he previously resided in Marshfield Hills and Carver, MA. Mr. Tribou was a member of the Seekonk Congregational Church, the Rotary Club of Marshfield, and the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed boating and golfing, and delighted in working on homes with his family. He was a man with a wonderful sense of humor who would help anyone at any time. Above all, his family and his pets were truly dear to him and he will be sorely missed. Mr. Tribou is survived by his four cherished children: Nancy M. Brause of Kingston, MA; Stephen Tribou and his wife, Deborah (Powers) Tribou of Cornish Flats, NH; Kenneth L. Tribou and his wife, Marylou (Zylinski) Tribou of Kingston, MA; and Patricia Tribou and her wife, Deborah Armstrong of Rehoboth, MA; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. He was the brother of Warren Tribou, Robert Tribou, and Stanley Tribou, and also leaves several nieces and nephews and his extended family. Visitation has respectfully been omitted. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Seekonk Congregational Church - United Church of Christ, 600 Fall River Ave, Seekonk, MA 02771, to celebrate his life, then followed by a light lunch at 12:30 p.m. at Hillside Country Club, 82 Hillside Avenue, Rehoboth, MA 02769. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the charity of one's choice or to care for and benefit animals.
