Whitney Ann Krozier

d. January 1, 2001

Whitney Ann Krozier, 23, of Regency Drive, Central, South Carolina, died on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Oconee Memorial Hospital, Seneca, South Carolina, after a courageous battle for several years. She had lived in South Carolina for three years having previously resided in Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on October 12, 1983, she was the inspirational daughter of Candy Ann Bianco of Attleboro Falls, David Stephen Krozier and step-daughter of Sandra B. (Marchessault) Krozier of Murphy, Texas. She was the beloved fiance of Jason W. Rowzee of South Carolina. They were expecting to be married in June 2008 on a beautiful beach in Florida. She and Jason had been packing to move into their first home. She was Jason?s life, and he - her?s. No one could ask for anyone to love their daughter more than Jason. They lived a happy life in South Carolina for the past three years with their ?children? as they called them. Nemo, a German Shepherd mix, whom never left Whitney?s side and would often cry while being away from her; Sidney, a Jack Russell Terrier; and Squirt, one of their two cats, all of which shared a bed with Whitney and Jason. She was planning on becoming a Mental Health Counselor at Georgia Mountains Community Services working with schools in the state of Georgia starting July 2, 2007 doing what she loved most, helping others. After having graduated from North Attleboro High School in 2002, during which she had earned two letters from being on the school?s track team, she had gone on to study at Clemson University in South Carolina. Whitney was expected to attend graduation on August 11, 2007 from Clemson University earning her major in Psychology. Her dedication to her education and future was undeniable. Even with her illness, never once did she complain or give up. Even on days when getting out of bed was too painful, she would continue doing things such as schoolwork, her research project, even cleaning her apartment. No matter how much pain she had, she kept going and strived to meet her goal of graduating from college. To have known Whitney was to know a true hero. She was an inspiration to anyone who knew her. Whitney was considered the most optimistic person and her energy and love for life rubbed off on anyone who met her. She was a fighter who persevered through all of her illness and physical limitations to become a wonderfully caring person. She achieved so much in her life and touched so many with her strength and generosity. She truly was a spectacular role model for others to learn from and emulate. Everything she did revolved around helping others. She volunteered with Tiger?s Who Care at Clemson University and also helped to raise money for the American Cancer Society?s ?Relay for Life? as a speaker for two years in North Attleboro and two years at Clemson University. She was also the keynote speaker at the 2001 Billy Andrade and Brad Faxon Charities for Children fundraiser and had received a standing ovation. She had become extremely involved and active with the Ronald McDonald House from a very early age and had become a Cape Hope Counselor. Whitney was quite the Disney characters and theme enthusiast and had a tremendous love for animals especially Sea Turtles and Dolphins. Fishing was one of her enjoyed past times as well as collecting seashells. She was a communicant of St. Mark?s Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro Falls while living in North Attleboro. In addition to her parents and fiance, she leaves a sister, Cory Marie Krozier of Attleboro Falls; a brother, Andrew David Krozier of Edison, New Jersey; her maternal grandmother, Eduardo ?Edie? L. (Soares) Bianco of Connecticut; her paternal grandmother, Irene B. (Kazmierczak) Krozier of New Jersey; and five cousins. She was the granddaughter of the late Joseph F. Bianco, Marguerite L. (Furman) Bianco and Stephen L. Krozier. Whitney and her mother had quite a special bond and love for each other. They were as close as mother and daughter could be, maybe more. Her father and stepmother also loved her very much. ?Edie? and also Mr. Don Johnson were very important people in her life. She always looked up to her big brother Andrew. She was proud of him for so many reasons; such as how hard working he was and how he spent six years in the Marines including one year in active duty in the Persian Gulf. Whitney and her baby sister Cory were close and she was so proud of her because she knew Cory would one day become an exceptional doctor and she knew it was in large part because of her. Graduating from Clemson, attaining a great job and her plans to spend the rest of her life with her wonderful fiance, Jason, made Whitney an extremely happy person. Whitney had told Jason that when she died, she wanted people to celebrate her life and wear bright clothes instead of black; her family asks that everyone follow Whitney?s wishes and wear bright clothing to the visitation as well as funeral service and help them celebrate her life.
