Wayne John Masterson

Wayne John Masterson, 61, of Wild Acres Road, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro on Saturday, July 6, 2013. He was the lifetime companion of more than 40 years of Dianne L. Boss with whom he resided. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on July 17, 1951, Mr. Masterson was the son of the late Charles P. Masterson, Sr. and Elaine (Preston) Masterson. He was raised and educated in North Attleboro where he graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1970 and attended Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, New York. He was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro. Mr. Masterson co-owned and operated the family business, Masterson Brothers Upolstery, in South Attleboro for many years and for the past ten years was employed at Mark's Auto Upholstery in Foxboro. His favorite pastimes included fresh water fishing, watching the History channel on television, being a devoted Boston Red Sox fan and a lover of music. In addition to his companion, he leaves four children: Cori L. Boss of Plainville and Clayton A. Boss, Timothy P. Boss and Krista M. Boss all of North Attleboro; his siblings: Christine Paris of North Attleboro; Steven Masterson of North Attleboro; Mary Caponigro of North Attleboro; George Masterson on North Attleboro and John Masterson in North Carolina; his nephew and God son: Hazen Masterson of North Attleboro; several additional nieces and nephews and several extended family members and friends. He was the brother of the late Charles P. Masterson, Jr. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Following visitation an invitation will be extended to join the family from 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM at the VFW - Newell-Blais Post 443, 50 Jefferson Street, North Attleboro.
