Walter Arnold White, 79, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 24, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Ramona (Broas) White, whom he married on April 4, 1963, and who died on September 2, 2018.
Born on January 6, 1942, in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of the late Walter Almon White and the late Elizabeth (Hall) White.
Raised and educated in Poughkeepsie, he was a graduate of Arlington High School, Class of 1960, and received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 1964. Walter enjoyed a career in engineering for fifty-four years, having most recently worked at Rite Solutions in Middletown, RI before retiring in 2018.
A resident of Attleboro for the past forty-three years, he previously lived in Norfolk, MA. He was a man of great faith and was a longtime member of Plainville Baptist Church in Plainville, MA. Walter was a former ham radio operator. He was a devoted husband and father who truly cherished spending time with his beloved family.
Walter served as a volunteer firefighter for many years with the Pleasant Valley Fire Department in New York. He was also a volunteer for the "Find A Grave" organization.
Walter was the loving father of Julianne McLain of Hot Springs, AR; Melanie White of Attleboro, MA; and Joy Tyrol and her husband, Christopher Tyrol, of Greenwood, South Carolina. He was the proud grandfather of Matt and his wife, Jaynie; David and his wife, Leah; Tim, Ramona and her husband, Cody; Anna and her husband, Caleb; Evan and his wife, Suzanna; and Amber, and the adoring great-grandfather of Michael, Ryan, Alyssa, Jolie, Hailey, and Alana. He leaves his dear sister, Judith "Judy" White of Hot Springs, AR and his extended family.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service in celebration of Walter's life on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the Plainville Baptist Church, 62 South Street, Plainville, MA.
Private graveside services will be held in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, at which time Walter will be laid to rest alongside his dear late wife, Ramona.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's memory to the Plainville Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 62 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762.
