Walter Phillip Hutchinson, Jr.

Walter Phillip Hutchinson, Jr., 64, of Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, died on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Laurie J. (Cochrane) Hutchinson who died on April 14, 2008. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 11, 1949, he was a son of the late Walter P. Hutchinson, Sr. and Irene (Sheldon) Hutchinson of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Raised and educated in Plainville, he was a resident of North Attleboro for many years. Mr. Hutchinson was employed for 27 years as a press maker for the V. H. Blackinton Company in North Attleboro. In addition to his mother, Mr. Hutchinson leaves a daughter: Sheryl I. Hutchinson with whom he resided in Attleboro Falls; a grandson: Jaiden Hutchinson of Attleboro Falls; his siblings: Kathy Sweetman of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; Ann Hutchinson in Florida and Gerald Hutchinson of Pawtucket RI and several extended family members, coworkers and friends. He was the brother of the late John Hutchinson. Public visitation is respectfully omitted. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of His Life Memorial Service at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the sanctuary of the Central Congregational Church, 115 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Carole A. Baker, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private. Following church services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship, refreshments and remembrance in the church vestry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Hutchinson's name to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
