Walter Raymond Chace

Walter Raymond Chace, 83, of Attleboro, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. Born on July 26, 1932 in Mansfield, MA, he was the son of the late George Chace and the late Fanny (Booth) Chace.A resident of Attleboro for the past ten years, he previously resided in Mansfield, MA. Walter proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army. He worked as a Machine Operator for Charles A. Richardson, Inc. in Mansfield, MA for thirty years before retiring, and was a dedicated volunteer Firefighter with the Mansfield Fire Department for sixteen years. Walter loved many things in life: his family, first and foremost; reading; fishing, hunting; camping; and working on search-puzzles. He always took great delight in ham radios and as a ham radio operator. He is survived by his cherished children: Kathleen E. (Chace) Marsella of Attleboro, MA; Ann L. Chace of Attleboro, MA; Allen Chace of Attleboro, MA; and Robert Chace of Norton, MA. He was the beloved grandfather of James, Deborah, Leah, Allison, and twins: Hanna and Haylei; and the brother of Robert Chace of Attleboro, MA. He leaves many nieces and nephews, and his extended family.Walter was the loving father of the late James Edward Chace.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
