Walter John Bunker

July 26, 1956 — March 27, 2014

Walter John Bunker, 57, of Attleboro, formerly of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly and without explanation on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Born in Boston on July 26, 1956, he was the son of the late Walter A. and Theresa M. (Kilroy) Bunker. Walter was a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School in Billerica, MA Class of 1974. He was a Master Electrician by trade, and owned and operated Bunker Electric for over 35 years. He resided in Attleboro for the past 22 years having previously resided in Stoughton. Walter was an athlete by desire, and loved boating, snowmobiling, softball, hiking and walking. He also enjoyed playing cards. Mr. Bunker was a fantastic companion to Kate, caring father to his children and his furry son, Lovell, a black Labrador, great brother to his three sisters, totally involved with his nieces and nephews, loving grandfather and a great friend to many, many people. He greatly missed his late feline companion, "Buddy Boy". Love him or hate him, truly opionated throughout life. You left his company always wanting more. Words cannot explain this loss. To have know him and love him is the only way to understand. Family and friends would leave his company and always want more cherished times shared together. Walter is survived by his longtime companion Kate Carter with whom he resided; beloved children: Jacqueline M. Bunker of Weymouth; Michael Walter Bunker of Waltham; step-sons Thomas F. Carter of Braintree and the late Ryan D. Carter, who passed away on October 3, 2008; his three sisters: Arlene Balboni and her husband, Joe Balboni of Chelmsford; Karen Farley and her husband, Chuck Farley of Londonderry, NH; Noreen Bent and her husband Frederick Bent of Dracut; two beloved and cherished grandchildren: Taylor and Rosaleigh and many nieces, nephews and dear friends . A celebration of his life will be held at the Chelmsford Elks on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 5PM to 9PM.
