Wade James Pooler, 69, of North Attleboro, died on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Arnold) Bilsborough whom he married on January 9, 1988.
Born in Plymouth, MA on December 8, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert Pooler and the late Mary (White) Pooler. He was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston, MA - Class of 1968.
Wade proudly served in the United States Army.
He attended computer training school and was currently employed in the IT department of Narragansett Bay Commission in Providence, Rhode Island.
A resident of North Attleboro for the past 34 years, he was a longtime member of the Central Congregational Church in Attleboro Falls where he served as the Sunday School Superintendent and as a church trustee.
His favorite pastimes included playing golf and being a fan of the Boston professional sports teams. Wade's greatest love was being surrounded by his cherished family, especially his grandchildren, creating memories for a lifetime.
In addition to his wife of 32 years, he leaves six children: Dawn Freeland of Plymouth, MA; J. Sebastian Bilsborough of North Attleboro, MA; Adam Scott Bilsborough of Attleboro, MA; Samantha Rose of North Attleboro, MA; Kent Bilsborough of North Attleboro, MA and Jennifer Pooler of Plymouth, MA; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his siblings: Janet Pooler of Carver, MA; Joyce DesRosiers of Halifax, MA; Caroline Pooler of Andover, MA and Robert Pooler of Crofton, Maryland. He leaves extended family members and many dear friends.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks (mandatory), family and friends are cordially invited to honor Wade by attending Visitation with Veteran's honors in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
A Private Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Attleboro Falls.
