Vivian R. (Dionne) Carvalho, 96, of Whalen Drive, North Attleboro, died on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare of Norton. She was the wife of the late George R. Carvalho to whom she was married for almost 70 years at the time of his death on June 27, 2011. Born in Southbridge, Massachusetts on May 6, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Jessie (Goudreau) Dionne. She resided in Attleboro following her marriage until moving to Plainville in 1957. She recently moved to North Attleboro to reside with her son. She and Mr. Carvalho wintered for many years in Loxahatchee, Florida. Mrs. Carvalho was employed by James A. Murphy & Son, Inc. in Attleboro for 37 years prior to her retirement as Vice President at the age of 62. She was a communicant of St. Martha Roman Catholic Church, Plainville. She enjoyed the times spent traveling with her beloved husband throughout the world and enjoyed making hand-made crafts. She leaves two children: Norman G. Carvalho and his wife, Glennis (Canole) Carvalho, of North Attleboro and Carol Boudreau and her husband, Donald Boudreau, of Loxahatchee, Florida; her grandchildren: Lauren and Richard Kallianidis of Attleboro; Courtney and Sergio Dos Santos of Taunton; Kimberly Carvalho of Attleboro; Christopher Boudreau and his wife, Kerry (Urbanick) Boudreau, of West Palm Beach, Florida; Dawn and Curtis Perry of Jupiter, Florida; great grandchildren: Gregory Perry of Jupiter, Florida; Jared Perry of Jupiter, Florida and Grace and Jacob Kallianidis both of Attleboro and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. She was the sister of the late Ray Dionne, Norman Dionne, Roy Dionne, Roland Dionne, Doris Brown and Evelyn King. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:45 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Shepardville Cemetery, Plainville. Following services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. Children's room available during visitation and the funeral service.
