Virginia M. Welton

Virginia M. (Rosequist) Welton, 96. of Cumberland, Rhode Island, passed away on March 26, 2025, at the Holiday Retirement Community in Manville, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Albert Kenneth Welton to whom she was married on July 19, 1947, and who died on December 25, 2010.

Born in Brockton, MA on June 19, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Ernest P. Rosequist and the late Mary F. (O'Brien) Rosequist. She was raised and educated on Cape Cod.

As a professional accountant, she was employed by Valentine Tool in Norton, MA for many years and previously for Swank. She worked for many years as a personal accountant.

She was a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church.

Her favorite pastimes included playing bridge and tennis and watching the Boston Bruins and was a ferocious reader often reading two books a week.

She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Welton leaves a son: Scott D. Welton of Cumberland, RI and her caregiver and granddaughter: Sara N. Welton of Cumberland, Rhode Island.

She was the mother of the late Timothy Todd Welton who died in 1996

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel".

Burial will be in Arnold Mills Cemetery, Cumberland, Rhode Island.
