Virginia Mcadams

Born on January 27, 1945 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late James Joseph McAdams and the late Mildred H. (Sullivan) McAdams. She was a loving mother and homemaker, raising her four daughters in Norfolk, MA. She worked for Kiessling Transportation until attending Henry O. Peabody School of Nursing in Norwood and becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Serenity Hill and The Pond Home in Wrentham, specializing in geriatrics. A resident of North Attleboro for the past twenty years, she attended St. Mary's Church. A woman of faith, Virginia was an active, artistic, and engaging woman who enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion in Wrentham, a member of the North Attleboro Elks and in years past was a co-founder of the Mirror Lake Association, a Girl Scout leader, and a softball coach in Norfolk.Her pride and joy were her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters: Patricia Baker and her son, Cody, of Marshfield, MA; Elizabeth Bruce and her daughters, Kaylee Bruce of Norfolk, MA and Alyssa Baker and her husband, Sean Thompson, of Easton, MA; Jeanine Collins and her husband, Brian, and their children, Alexandra, Shayne, Madison, Zachary, Meaghan, Nehemiah, Keziah, Judah and Bridget of Walpole, NH: and Heather St. Clair and her husband, Allen, and their daughters, Mackenzie and Courtney, of North Attleboro, MA; as well as two great- grandchildren: Lucas and Hayden Thompson. Virginia was the sister of Jerome McAdams of Quincy, MA; Kevin McAdams of Amherst, NH; James McAdams of Natick, MA; Jean McAdams-Jenkins of Weymouth, MA; Joseph McAdams of Marshfield, MA; Anne Chochrek of Scituate, MA; and Elizabeth McAdams of Scituate, MA. She is also survived by her many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she cherished. She was the former wife of Leonard R. Baker. Funeral Mass and Memorial Visitation are under the direction of Virginia's family.  Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church Street, North Attleboro, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The family extends an invitation for all to join them for a time of continued fellowship and refreshment following Mass at the North Attleboro Elks, 52 South Bullfinch Street, North Attleboro, MA. Burial will be private.
