Virginia "Ginny" Mae (Welch) Laderoute

Virginia "Ginny" Mae (Welch) Laderoute, 80, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at home with her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of Edgar J. Laderoute, to whom she was married on July 6, 1958.Born in Lowell, MA on June 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George Welch and the late Elizabeth (Clark) Welch.Ginny was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1953. She worked at several jobs and assisted Ed throughout his college career. A resident of North Attleboro for more than fifty years, she was a homemaker whose greatest pride was her cherished family.She enjoyed holidays, travel, watching her children and grandchildren's sporting events, Bingo, craft projects, and time spent with her dear friends. She volunteered at her children's school and was active with the Girls Scouts by being a leader for her daughter's troop. Most especially, Ginny valued time spent with her family and treasured grandchildren.In addition to her husband, Ed, she is survived by her three children: Lynne R. (Laderoute) Poskus, and her husband, Alan T. Poskus, of Smithfield, RI; Edward A. Laderoute, and his wife, Paula (Tamburello) Laderoute of GA; and Lori K. (Laderoute) Wixson, and her husband, Wesley E. Wixson, of Bow, NH. She was the adoring Nana of eight grandchildren: Shannon, Mackenzie, Mallory, Bryce, Adam, Abigail, Tanner, and Jack. Ginny leaves her dear cousin, Donald Howard, who was like a brother to her; and his wife, Vera Howard, both of Longmeadow, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Ruth (Welch) Cullinan; Dorice (Welch) Bourgoyne; and Marjorie (Welch) Richard.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, 3/4 mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Burial services will follow at North Purchase Cemetery in Attleboro, MA.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ginny's memory to: Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 96280, Washington, D.C. 20077 or at www.arthritis.org.For additional information or to send the family a written expression of sympathy, please visit an on-line guest book at www.dyer-lakefuneralhome.com .
