Vincent "Vinny" Joseph Sitkauskas, Sr., 56, of East Washington Street, North Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Ellen (Zervas) Sitkauskas, to whom he was wed on February 16, 1981. Born on March 29, 1959, he was the son of Vytenis J. Sitkauskas and Mary F. (Silva) Sitkauskas of Franklin, MA. A graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1977, Vinny was employed for many years in the Shipping and Receiving Department of the Polaroid Corporation, and previously at Harvard Apparatus in Holliston, MA. He retired in 2006. He and his family made their home in North Attleboro for many years, having previously resided in Norfolk, MA. He attended St, Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in North Attleboro. Vinny was a kind and generous man who made it a point to donate every month to help Veterans, and who was always helpful to those in need. He genuinely enjoyed sports, particularly the Red Sox and Patriots, as well as attending baseball card shows. Most important to Vinny, though, were his family and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his cherished children: Marie-Elaina (Sitkauskas) Roy and her husband, Benjamin Roy, of Taunton, MA; Vincent Joseph Sitkauskas, Jr., and his wife, Jeannine D. (Reid) Sitkauskas of Norwood, MA; and Scott Lemieux of North Attleboro, MA. He leaves his two sisters: Denise A. (Sitkauskas) Gosselin and her husband, Robert Gosselin, of Franklin, MA; and Debra A. (Sitkauskas) Daher and her husband, Anthony Daher, of San Francisco, CA; and his loving granddaughter: Isabella Skye Roy, age 4, of Taunton, MA. He was the brother-in-law of Diane M. Constantino and her husband, Joseph Constantino; Patricia E. Ulrich and her husband, Raymond King; John Mark Zervas, Jr., and his wife, Gay Zervas; and Robert Ulrich, Sr., and his son, Robert Ulrich, Jr.; his niece, Francie Boothe and her husband, Scott Boothe; great-nephew, Michael Boothe; great-niece, Brianna Boothe; as well as several other nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Vinny always had a special place in his heart for his Yorkie companions over the years, and leaves Sam and Maggie, who were predeceased by April, Peanut and Haylee. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, ¾ mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Graveside Funeral Service in Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Those who wish to attend should meet directly at Highland Cemetery, 320 Winter Street, Norwood, MA.
