Vienna E. (Mercier) Lange, 84 Vienna E. (Mercier) Lange, 84, of Standish Road, formerly of Carpenter Street, Attleboro, died on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Alfred D. Lange to whom she was married on August 23, 1947 and who died on April 7, 2004. Born in the Hebronville section of Attleboro on June 26, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Dazilva Mercier, Sr. and Adrienne (Bruant) Mercier. She resided in Hebronville before moving to Attleboro where she resided for the remainder of her life. Mrs. Lange was employed by Swank, Inc. in Attleboro for many years as an assembler prior to the birth of her children and becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed long rides with her husband; they would often travel to New Jersey for a cup of coffee with their friends, the Nadeaus. Mrs. Lange enjoyed traveling with family members to northern New England, Cape Cod and down the East Coast to Florida and back. She will be lovingly remembered as an expert seamstress and often made clothes for herself, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and then giving her items away to relatives and friends. Her beautifully crafted items will be treasured forever by future generations. She leaves two sons: Michel Lange and his wife, Pamela, of Attleboro and Steven Lange and his wife, Jorene, of South Attleboro; a daughter: Darlene Lange and her companion, Thomas Wyman, of Attleboro; five grandchildren: Joshua Lange of Pawtucket, RI; Corey Blais, Nathan Lange, Kara-Rose Blais and Jillian Lange all of Attleboro; three great grandchildren: Julianne Joy, Lukas Joshua and Alexis-Rose; a brother-in-law: Robert Lange and his wife, Rose, of Attleboro; two sisters-in-law: Lucille Mercier of Attleboro and Loretta Mercier of Cumberland, RI and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was the sister of the late Mark Mercier, Peter Mercier, Viola Poncin, Iola McDade, Helena Uhlig and Dazilva Mercier, Jr. Funeral services and burial will be private.
