Victoria "Tori" Jade Dean-Berec, 21, of Park Street, Attleboro, passed away following a brief illness on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 surrounded by the love of her devoted and caring family at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Born in Stoughton, Massachusetts on August 12, 1993, she was the beloved daughter of Robert Berec and the late Rebecca Lynn Dean who died on November 29, 2004. Raised and educated in Attleboro, Miss Dean-Berec was a 2011 graduate of Attleboro High School and was a student at Bristol Community College majoring in accounting. Her favorite pastimes spending time at the beach and in the sun, especially on Cape Cod, photography, camping, fishing, shopping and of most importance was time spent creating memories with her cherished family. She had a love for children and family that was always present. In addition to her father, she leaves a sister: Amari Rose Berec of Attleboro; her maternal grandfather: Paul F. Dean of Delray Beach, Florida; her maternal grandmother: Diane Jean (Marcinkoski) Dean of Sebastian, Florida; her paternal grandmother: Jana (Kazimirova) Berec of Attleboro and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and dear friends. "In keeping with Tori's loving and generous spirit, she was an organ donor and we know that in our family's sorrow and loss she has brought others renewed hope and life." Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. For those in need of a ride to visitation simply call the funeral home directly at 508-695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis transportation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 8:30 AM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Church Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. David A. Costa, Pastor, officiating. Burial alongside her beloved mother will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. Children's room is available during the visitation and while the funeral cortege is being organized.
