Valerie Bixby Everett

Valerie (Bixby) Everett, R.N., 68, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully with her husband at her side on December 28, 2021, at her residence. She was the wife of Timothy John Everett, whom she married on October 18, 1975.
Born in Quincy, MA, on October 24, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Wallace L. Bixby and the late Dorothy (Newton) Bixby.
She was a graduate of Randolph East Mead High School in Guys Mills, PA, in 1971. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in science from Gannon University and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Villa Maria College, both in 1976, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Villa Maria College in 1989.
She was a resident of South Attleboro, MA, for the past 21 years, having previously spent ten years in North Attleboro, MA.
Prior to her retirement in 2017, Valerie was employed at the V.A. Medical Center in West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain, MA for 14 years, serving in administration positions including Nurse Manager and Assistant Chief Nursing Officer. Previously, she was the Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department at St. Joseph Hospital - Fatima Unit in North Providence, RI for 15 years. She was a member of the Rhode Island Emergency Nurses Association and served as its President for four years. She enjoyed gardening and traveling to Hawaii to visit family. She loved her back yard.
In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves two children: Bethany Bixby Armour and her husband, Robert Armour, of Stoughton, MA; and Bryan Timothy Everett and his wife, Anne Farahi, of Volcano, Hawaii; four grandchildren: Riley Everett and Coral Everett both of Volcano, Hawaii, and Benjamin Armour and Samuel Armour, both of Stoughton, MA.
She was the sister of Heather Ursini of Palm Harbor, Florida; Priscilla Hennessey of Portland, Maine; Marcia Bixby of Randolph, MA; Charles Bixby of Houston, Texas; Pamela Bollis of Meadville, PA; Alison Rhoades of Meadville, PA; the late Paul Bixby, and the late George Bixby. She was the sister-in-law of Susan Everett of Freedom, PA.
Valerie also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family, colleagues, and friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A private Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Valerie's honor and name may be made to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
