Valerie Leigh Dalton, 43 Matron for Local Police Departments Valerie Leigh Dalton, 43, of Ottawa Street, Attleboro, died unexpectedly at her residence on Monday, March 15, 2010 following a long illness. She was the longtime companion of Jason M. Tannock, Sr. of Attleboro. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on February 14, 1967, she was a daughter of Sandra (Cote) Ahlquist of Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts and the late Lawrence V. Pedro. She was the stepdaughter of the late Peter John Dalton, Sr. She resided in Walpole prior to moving to Attleboro 38 years ago. Ms. Dalton was a graduate of the Newport School of Hairdressing and was employed as the manager of the former Bo Rics in South Attleboro. Currently, she was employed as a matron for numerous police departments including Attleboro, Norton, Easton and Mansfield. She was a member of the Attleboro Moose Lodge #463. Her favorite and most treasured times were those spent with her family and friends with a special devotion to her two beloved grandchildren. In addition to her companion and mother, she leaves a daughter: Blayne L. Dalton of Attleboro; a son: Jason M. Tannock, Jr. of Attleboro; two grandchildren: Janayja Colon and Jesinah Colon both of Attleboro; a sister: Keisha L. Foster of Rehoboth; two brothers: Peter J. Dalton, Jr. of Foxboro and Timothy D. Dalton of Bourne; two generations of nieces and nephews and several extended family members and friends. She was the sister of the late Deborah L. Dalton.
