Obituary

Urmilaben Gajendrabhai Patel, 82, of Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 1, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Gajendrabhai Patel with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage.

Born in Gujarat, India on March 13, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Prabhudas Patel and Kamalaben Patel.

Raised and educated in her native country of India, she immigrated to the United States and settled in Attleboro, Massachusetts. She dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed singing, knitting, crocheting and completing puzzles. She loved cooking meals for her family and spending time with them. She is known for taking great pride in her appearance and always being the best dressed. Urmilaben always had a smile on her face, especially when helping someone. She loved talking to her friends and was an extremely outgoing individual.

She was the devoted mother of Alpeshkumar Patel and his wife, Dipikaben, of Attleboro, MA, Hemanti Patel and her husband, Bhupen of Ringoes, NJ, and Alpa Patel and her husband, Deepak of Scranton, PA.

She was the cherished grandmother to: Priyank Patel, Neel Patel, Shrey Patel, and Falesha Patel.

Urmilaben was predeceased by her two brothers, Rameshbhai Patel and Mohanbhai Patel. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Bakuben Patel.

A Traditional Hindu Visitation and Ritual Service will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the "Chapel of Hope and Memory" at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, Rhode Island. A Traditional Hindu Ritual and Cremation Service will follow in the Swan Point Cemetery Crematorium.
