Thomas Clinton Wright, Sr.,72, of Draper Avenue, North Attleboro died following a brief illness on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband and devoted caregiver of Helen R. (Tatarian) Wright to whom he was married on October 26, 1963. Born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts on June 20, 1941, he was a son of the late William H. Wright, Sr. and Violet (Landry) Wright. Raised and educated in North Attleboro, Mr. Wright was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. He remained a lifelong resident of his native community. He was the founder and owner of Thomas C. Wright Rubbish Removal that he operated for the past 45 years. Mr. Wright attended the First Congregational Church "Old Town" in North Attleboro since 1976 and had previously served as the Superintendent of the Sunday school program and as a Deacon of the church. He was fiercely devoted to the running of his business and treasured the times spent at home with family creating lifelong memories for those to remember with fondness and love. In addition to his wife of 50 years, he leaves his loving daughter: Michelle M. Cundiff and her husband, Christopher Cundiff, of Bellingham; his grandchildren: Caitlin Wright, Bridget Wright and Allison Cundiff and a grandson: Billy Cundiff; his daughter-in-law: Jean E. (O'Connell) Wright, wife of his late son, Thomas C. Wright, Jr. who died on May 20, 2013; a sister: Ina L. (Wright) Marquis of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and many nieces, nephews, extended family members including the Tatarian family, cousins and dear friends. He was the father of the late William "Billy" Wright. He was the brother of the late William H. Wright, Ethel (Wright) Vierra, Mary (Wright) Pacelli and Earl V. Wright. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the nationally historic "Colonel Obed Robinson Home", 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Children's room available during visitation. Those in need of a ride to visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis transportation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the First Congregational "Old Town" Church, 675 Old Post Road, North Attleboro, with the Rev. Kelly K. Thibeault, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Newell Burying Ground, West Street, South Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at Maxcy Hall in the First Congregational "Old Town" Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations may be made to Thomas C.
