Thomas D. Policastro Jr., 73, of Wrentham, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA. He was the beloved husband of Christine Ann (Kary) Policastro.
Born in Passaic, New Jersey he was a graduate of East Patterson (New Jersey) High School and was a graduate of the former Newark College of Engineering, now New Jersey Institute of Technology, and earned a master's degree from Duke Fuqua School of Business.
Mr. Policastro started his career at Continental Can Company and later enjoyed a long career at Johnson & Johnson serving in a number of capacities including industrial engineer, staff engineering manager and director of operations.
He was a Wrentham resident for the past 30 years and was a communicant of St. John Vianney, Cumberland, RI.
Thomas enjoyed working on house projects, landscaping endeavors, home repairs, always "offering a suggestion", but his favorite times were those spent in the company of family, particularly his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents: Thomas D. Policastro Sr. and Anne (Harraka) Policastro and in addition to his wife, he leaves two children: Thomas A. Policastro and his wife, Jillian (Kulig) Policastro, of Mansfield, MA, and Christina C. Kerrigan and her wife, Shannan Kerrigan, of Plainville, MA; four cherished grandchildren: Abby and Callie Kerrigan, both of Plainville, MA, and Colin and Cadence Policastro, both of Mansfield, MA; his siblings: Diane Barell and James Policastro, both of New Jersey, and many extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, RI.
Burial will follow in Wrentham Centre Cemetery, Wrentham, MA.
