Thomas "Tom" Leonard Warren, Sr.

Thomas "Tom" Leonard Warren, Sr., 73, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away following a long illness on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, MA, where he was well cared for by the loving staff. He was born on October 14, 1943, the son of the late Joseph and Rita (Kelly) Warren, and raised in Arlington, MA. He spent his adult years in Mansfield, MA and North Attleboro, MA. Tom spent his early years in Arlington, where he was an altar boy. He received a Bachelor's Degree and two Masters Degrees from Boston College. He spent a year volunteering for the Lay Apostulete in Kansas City, then joined his father's business, Warren Brothers. Tom spent his family years living in Mansfield. He was an employee of the Foxboro Company, and then had independent businesses specializing in management training and publishing. Tom was an active member of the Catholic Church throughout his life. Most recently, he was a member of Sacred Heart Church in North Attleboro, MA. He was an avid reader and also really enjoyed delicious desserts. He enjoyed traveling, attending cultural events, and lectures. He always had an interest in social justice.He leaves behind his children: Cathleen T. McElligott and her husband, Brian McElligott, of Upton, MA; Thomas L. Warren, Jr. and his wife, Betsy Warren, of Attleboro, MA; and Michael John Warren of Brooklyn, NY. He leaves three grandsons: Samuel, Seth, and Joel, and was the brother of the late Joseph Warren.Tom was the former husband of Patricia "Pat" Morrissey of North Attleboro, MA.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, ¾ mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue North Attleboro, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church Street, North Attleboro, MA, with Father David Costa, officiating.Private graveside services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, MA.Children's room is available during the visitation and funeral service.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.
