Thomas John Dumaine, Sr., 63, of Kelley Boulevard, North Attleboro, died on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island following a three-week illness. He was the husband of Donna M. (Christensen) Dumaine to whom he was married for 43 years. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 11, 1948, he was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where he was a graduate of Attleboro High School. He then attended the former Roger Williams College, now Roger Williams University, in Bristol, Rhode Island. Mr. Dumaine resided in North Attleboro for more than 40 years having moved to the community from Attleboro. Mr. Dumaine was employed as a mechanical engineer for the Research and Development Team at A.C.S. Industries, formerly of Pawtucket, for the last 30 years. His favorite pastimes included fresh water boating on the waters of Maine, bass fishing, tennis in earlier years and he will be forever remembered as a dedicated NASCAR fan. He will be forever remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his wife, he leaves four children: Thomas J. Dumaine, Jr. of Johnston, Rhode Island; Neil W. Dumaine of North Attleboro; Nathan S. Dumaine of Jackson, Maine and Danielle C. Dumaine of North Attleboro; a granddaughter: Kayla M. Dumaine of Wellesley; his mother-in-law: Marie A. (Achin) Christensen of Attleboro and several extended family members and dear friends. He was the son-in-law of the late Nathaniel W. Christensen. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 5:00 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
