North Attleborough- Thomas R. Cuoco, 75, of North Attleborough died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Mount St. Rita Health Center in Cumberland, RI. He was the loving husband of the late Ingrid C. (Kreuschner) Cuoco, who died September 25, 2008. The son of the late Tomaso and Cecilia (Fiore) Cuoco, Tom was born, raised, and educated in Medford. After graduating from Medford High School in 1953, Tom received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Boston University and went on to earn his Masters Degree in School Counseling from Bridgewater State College. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean War. Tom was a guidance counselor at Attleboro High School for over twenty years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, the MSPCA, and the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association of Massachusetts. An avid tennis player, he was a member of the YMCA and of their in-house exercise club, The Live Yers." Above all, Tom was a devoted father and grandfather known for his quick-witted stories and jokes. He had a genuine, loving spirit and will be dearly missed by all that loved him. Tom leaves two daughters, Nicolette R. Cuoco, and her companion Michael Harrison of Fairhaven; and Simone C. Hasenfus and her husband David of Plainville; a sister, Rosemarie Maloney and her husband Francis of Chelmsford; four grandchildren, Jacob H. and Josie Cuoco of Fairhaven and Joshua T. and Nicholas M. Hasenfus of Plainville; three nieces and a nephew. He also leaves many close friends, including his devoted companion Gail Breit of Attleborough. Toms family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Mount St. Rita Health Center for the kindness and compassion they showed Tom. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a Time of Visitation on Saturday July 2, 2011 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Marthas Roman Catholic Church, 227 South Street Route 1A, Plainville with the Rev. Thomas Stanton, Pastor, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
