Therese Emma (Achin) Anderson, 91, of York Road, Mansfield; formerly of Cape Cod and Attleboro; passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the residence of her niece: Tamara J. (Maslen) Cullaz and her husband, Gary R. Cullaz and their children: Christopher R., Cameron J. and Tess Marie Cullaz. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Anderson. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on June 22, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Horace J. Achin, Sr. and Emma M. (Perreault) Achin. She was a graduate of St. Cecilia High School in Pawtucket, RI and attended Stonehill College. She resided in Mansfield for the past 17 years having previously resided on Cape Cod for ten years and was a former resident of the City of Attleboro. Mrs. Anderson was a self-employed title examiner in the greater Attleboro area for more than 40 years prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro Falls. Mrs. Anderson loved Cape Cod and treasured the times spent at her home in Barnstable village and the family get-togethers held there over the years. She enjoyed knitting and donated countless baby hats to hospitals over the years. Mrs. Anderson was a longtime volunteer at the gift shops at both Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro and at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was an ardent reader and a charter member of Theta Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority Mrs. Anderson leaves her siblings: Edna L. Williams, Robert G. Achin and Ronald P. Achin all in Florida; four generations of nieces and nephews; extended family members and many dear friends. She was the sister of the late Horace J. Achin, Jr., Norman Achin and Lucille Rita Maslen. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 105 Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas A. Frechette, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro.
