Theresa (Terry) Leonard, 89, of Lakeville, MA, passed away on October 18, 2026, after 89 years on this good earth.

Born in Attleboro on June 10, 1937, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Ethel (Lindberg) Kenniston of Norton. She will be sorely missed by her husband, Edward, her two sons, Peter and Jim, and her grandchildren Kristen, Rob, Hannah, and Abigail. She lost her brother, Ralph, and her daughter, Nancy, before passing. She will now be joining them in a better place.

Terry devoted her life to being a wife and a mother. She excelled at both and she loved what she did. She was a voracious reader who always had one or two novels underway, with several more in wait. She had a passion for home decorating, so when not watching Jeopardy or the local news, she searched out TV shows exploring home decor, home improvements, and house hunting. This passion extended to her gardens where she was glad to get her hands dirty planting, transplanting, and pruning to make them pleasant on the eye.

Terry was a New Englander in the best sense of the word. Born on a farm, she could bake, sew, garden, and shovel snow. She loved to play cards, particularly bridge and Liverpool Rummy. She was proud of Her Swedish heritage, relating stories of her immigrant grandparents, carrying on their holiday traditions, and enjoying coffee until the end; 'Gud välsigne henne' (May God bless her).

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend Visitation on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 4PM until 6PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

A memorial service will begin at 5:30PM, where words of remembrance will be shared.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity. Theresa gave monthly to the Salvation Army and to WGBH.
