Theresa Lawrence

March 12, 1926 — May 3, 2021

Theresa Lawrence (Donovan), 95, of Plainville, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2021.
Born in Boston, MA on March 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Donovan.  She was pre-deceased by husband of 43 years, Walter Lawrence Sr.
Raised and educated in Boston, MA, Theresa grew up with her brothers; John, Larry, and Tommy; and her sisters: Margaret, Katie and Pat, all of whom predeceased her. She lived for many years in Dedham, MA before moving to Norwood, MA, followed by Attleboro, MA, and finally Plainville where she lived for several years.
Theresa was a loving mother to five children:  Larry (Walter Lawrence Jr.). Pat, Mark, Carol, and John.  She was the loving mother-in-law to Larry's wife Maureen; Pat's husband, Andy; Mark's late wife, Cheryl, and his wife, Joan; and John's wife, Lori.  Theresa shared in the joy of four grandchildren: Will, Jen, James and Joseph; moreover, she was able to observe and participate in the antics of her five great-grandchildren:  Olivia, Brooklyn, Thomas, Penelope and Reagan.
Theresa held a number of positions throughout her career but, she especially enjoyed her tenure as an executive assistant at Eastco in Westwood, MA.
Always enjoying a challenge, Theresa matriculated at, and graduated from, UMASS at Boston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the same year Will and Jen graduated from their respective universities.  Theresa enjoyed travel: from her teenage trips to Texas with her sister Katie (to visit their brother Larry), trips to California, Alaska, Hawaii and Europe with husband, Walter, and numerous trips to New York to see her son Larry's family, she had many tales with which to regale the youngsters.
Theresa was an avid reader, enjoying a wide range of literature including spy novels, historical tomes and biographies.  She fully embraced the digital age, often spending time with her Kindle or iPad and frequently conversing with great-grandkids over Duo or Facetime.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 St. John's Pl, Attleboro, MA 02703.
