Born in Lowell, MA on August 16, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Frank W. "Terry" was employed as a billing coder and medical manager in the urgent care medical service industry and a companion to the elderly by preparing meals, and transporting them to and from appointments and errands.  Primarily, she was a talented multidisciplinary artist and craftsman.  While she created a variety of stained glass works such as lamps, nightlights, jewelry boxes and window panels throughout her years as an artist.  She also excelled in textile crafts, needlepoint, knitting and quilting.
At one time, she, and a fellow painter and friend, co-owned and operated an art studio in Providence, RI called George/Kahn Studio.  She was an ardent painter, her favorite mediums being oil and watercolor, but she was most proud of her china painting, a very old and lost form of art. Interested in perfecting her craft, she attended workshops at New York College in Cazenovia, New York and Fletcher Farm School of Arts and Crafts in Ludlow, Vermont with renowned painters and teachers in this art form.  She was also a very accomplished and competitive bridge player.
She was a member of the Providence Art Club and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society where she had showings of her artwork.  She also exhibited her paintings at galleries and entered into art festivals in Newport and Wickford, RI and Mystic,CT where she sold many of her works.
As an animal lover, she once served as the Assistant Animal Control Officer in Seekonk, MA.
"Terry" will be remembered as being beautifully eclectic and she will be always treasured by her family and will be dearly missed.
Among her loving family members left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughter: Joanne George of North Attleboro; five grandchildren: Jared Kloth of Bethel, CT; Amanda Jordan and her partner, Macy Guertin, of Central Falls; Kelsey George, D.M.D. of Cumberland; Jenna Lipson of Boston and Nick George of Seekonk; one great grandchild; a sister: Maryann "Mania" Mayo of North Augusta.
