Theresa Marie Burke

Theresa Marie Burke, LICSW, 55, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI.
Born on April 14, 1964 in Medford, MA, she was the daughter of Laurence G. Burke of North Attleboro, MA, and the late Constance M. (Gaudet) Burke.
Theresa was a graduate of Norwood High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and a Master's degree in Social Work from Simmons College.
A resident of North Attleboro for almost twenty years, she previously lived in Norwood and Waltham, MA.
Theresa was a licensed clinical social worker and patient advocate who dedicated long hours to ensure that services were provided to the marginalized, needy, and suffering in many local hospitals, halfway houses, and senior living centers.
In addition to her father, she leaves her siblings: Laurence G. Burke and his wife, Marie Burke, of North Attleboro, MA; Catherine M. Lemansky of Franklin, MA; and Kevin M. Burke and his wife, Cheryl Burke, of Milton, MA. Theresa is also survived by eight nieces and nephews whom she cherished with great enthusiasm and love. She is also survived by a grandniece.
Visitation is respectfully omitted.
A Celebration of Life and Service of Remembrance will be privately held in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Theresa to the Boston Higashi School, 800 N Main St, Randolph, MA 02368, would be appreciated.
