Theodore John Rzemien, 83, of Plainville, MA passed away on January 13, 2025, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Barbara E. (Emley) Rzemien to whom he was married on December 29, 1992.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on April 16, 1941, he was a son of the late Theodore Rzemien and the late Elizabeth (Michalowicz) Rzemien. Raised and educated in his native community of Pawtucket, he was a 1959 graduate of Tolman High School.
He was employed as the Director of Marketing Services for the former Hilco Corp in Plainville prior to his retirement.
Mr. Rzemien was a member of the Friends of Norcap.
His favorite pastimes including fresh and saltwater fishing but mostly he treasured the time spent with his family creating lifelong memories to cherish.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children: Lynn Ann Rzemien-Plotkin and her husband, Paul L. Plotkin, of South Kingston, RI and Stephen Michael Rzemien of Narragansett, RI; his stepchildren: Thomas W. Durden II of Block Island, RI and Jon Kevin Durden and his wife, Diana Durden, of Ocala, FL; two grandchildren: Stephanie Murin (husband John Murin) and Elizabeth Calore (husband Andrew Calore) and step grandfather of 6; great grandfather of Sarafina Murin, John James Murin and Eliana Calore and step great grandfather of 9; his sister: Louise Rzemien Thomas and her late husband David Thomas, of North Attleboro, MA and extended family members and friends. He was the beloved companion of his dog, "Lilly".
He was the brother of the late Carole Laquerre.
All are warmly welcome to attend a Memorial Gathering and Celebration of His Life on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Remembrance Service at 4:00 pm.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name and honor may be made to either the Jimmy Fund at Dana Farber Cancer Insitute or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
