Theodore "Ted" Craig Maguire, Sr., 67, of Penobscot, Maine passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA after having refused to get a Covid-19 vaccine.
Born in Milton, MA on November 11, 1953, he was a son of the late Arthur G. Maguire, Sr., and the late Maybelle E. (Taylor) Maguire. He moved to Medfield, MA as a child and was a graduate of Medfield High School. He later received his certification from tractor trailer driving training school which led to his CDL license.
Mr. Maguire was employed as a tractor trailer driver and prior to his retirement was employed as a concrete mixer driver for Adamsdale Concrete in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
He was a proud longtime member of the Teamsters Union - Local 251 in Providence, RI and will be remembered for being fun loving, having a free spirit and who enjoyed spending times in the company of friends.
Ted also enjoyed riding his Triumph motorcycle and even went to Sturgis one year. Hunting, fishing, and gardening were also among his favorite pastimes.
As an avid baseball player and member of a league, he recently played a game at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
He leaves three children: Michelle, Theodore, Jr., and Misty and several grandchildren.
Ted was the brother of Arthur G. Maguire, Jr. of Orland, Maine and the late Janice K. Maguire and the late Clay Maguire.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
Private funeral services will be held in Maine.
