Suzanne
Kelley
Jul 26, 1947 — Oct 17, 2026
Suzanne Claire Davis Kelley - a wife, mother, aunt, and friend - died peacefully in her home on October 17, 2026, North Attleboro, Massachusetts. She was born in Boston, the only daughter of the late Allen Davis and Phyllis (Carroll) Davis. She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Theodore; her two children, Kristin Kelley and her husband Richard and Gregory Kelley and his partner Leah; as well as her dog, Milan, and cat, Olivia. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Ron Davis, Joel Davis, and Chris Davis; her nieces and nephews; and a community of friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Davis.
Suzanne graduated from Brookline High School and attended college at UMASS, Boston. She met Ted when they were both department managers at Sears in the Fenway and were assigned to work the candy counter on Valentine's Day. They were engaged six months later. She held many jobs over the years, including work as a cytologist, an upholsterer, and a seamstress. She was active in the Great Dane Club of New England and volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the New Hope domestic violence shelter.
She was known for her love of animals, especially the Great Danes and cats, who were her companions for many, many decades. She was an avid traveler along with her husband, including visits to Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, and numerous visits to Italy, Ireland, and the Finger Lakes, which they visited for 24 consecutive years.
Suzanne loved sending cards and never missed a birthday or holiday (major and minor). She used her creativity to navigate the world, whether she was playing the flute, painting, taking photographs, knitting, or making her own soap and body lotion, which she doled out generously as holiday gifts.
