Suzanne Andree (St. Germain) Danko, R.N., 86, of North Attleboro, MA passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at HopeHealth Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence, RI. She was the loving wife of the late John Steven Danko, Sr. to whom she was married on September 2, 1961, and who died on April 5, 2018.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on January 14, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Adelard St. Germain and the late Doris (Godin) St. Germain. She was raised and educated in her native city of Woonsocket, RI. She was a graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing in Worcester, MA. She had a long-lasting career as a registered nurse at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI and the remaining nine years of her career were spent working for the Visting Nurse Services of Greater Woonsocket.
Suzanne was a resident of North Attleboro since 1964 and was a longtime communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at St. Mark in Attleboro Falls, MA. She served her church community as a volunteer, member of the church prayer group and as a Eucharistic Minister. She also worshipped at the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Attleboro, MA where she led a prayer group. She participated in pilgrimages to the Holy Land and Medjugorje.
She treasured the times spent with her family creating lifelong memories to cherish. Family was of the utmost importance.
Suzanne enjoyed camping and spent time at Sunset Beach, North Carolina. She enjoyed playing Jenga, whist, hearts and other card games.
Left to mourn her loss are her loving children: John S. Danko, Jr., and his wife, Christine A. (Harhen) Danko, of Norton, MA; Karen D. (Danko) Dubuc and her husband, Scott P. Dubuc, of North Attleboro, MA; Jill C. (Danko) Aspinwall and her husband, Donald F. Aspinwall, of Attleboro, MA; and Steven R. Danko and his wife, Shannon L. Danko, of Attleboro, MA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
She also leaves several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Suzanne was predeceased by all her siblings: Gerald St. Germain, Adelard St. Germain, Lucille Galipeau and baby Lorraine St. Germain.
Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Suzanne by gathering for a Visitation Friday, January 23, 2026, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at St. Mark, 105 Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls, MA.
Burial services will immediately follow in St. Jean-Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA.
Please omit flowers. Donations in her name and honor may be made to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center or to the Alzheimer's Association.
