Susan Eleanor Schusner
April 15, 1944 — November 29, 2021
Susan Eleanor (Diggle) Schusner, 77, of Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully at her residence on November 29, 2021, following a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Charles Thomas Schusner to whom she was happily married for 35 years.
Born in New Bedford, MA on April 15, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Theodore C. Diggle and the late Eleanor (Gatie) Diggle. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
As a master barber, Susan was the co-owner of the former The Cut Above in Attleboro for almost 23 years. Previously, she was employed at Suburban Hair Styling in Attleboro.
A native of Acushnet, MA, Mrs. Schusner, resided in the City of Attleboro since 1984.
Her favorite pastimes included bowling, traveling, and as a golf enthusiast, was a member of the Sturdy Memorial Hospital golf league. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting but most of all her favorite pastime was creating lifelong memories with her five cherished grandsons.
In addition to her husband, she leaves two children: Melissa Lawrence Ray and her husband, Jeffrey L. Ray, of Bristol, Rhode Island and Matthew Paul Lawrence of Medfield, MA; five grandsons: Joshua L. Ray, Jacob L. Ray, Noah R. Lawrence, Zachary E. Lawrence, and Jeremy A. Lawrence; her siblings: Theodore C. Diggle of Attleboro, MA; and Dana C. Diggle of East Freetown, MA. She was the sister of the late Jessica D. Collinson, the late Eileen D. Wilk and the late Timothy C. Diggle.
At her request, visitation has been respectfully omitted.
A Celebration of Her Life is scheduled for Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Colt State Park, Bristol, RI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Susan's name and honor may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 Myles Standish Boulevard - Suite 103, Taunton, MA 02780.
