Susan Ellen (Smith) Rios, 63, of Middleboro, Massachusetts passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, peacefully at home. She was the loving wife of the late Stephen Rios.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 22, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Smith and the late Louisa (Wardwell) Smith.
Susan was a graduate of Hyde Park High School at continued her education taking a few college courses over the years. She was a homemaker, making raising her children her main priority. She resided in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston for most of her life prior to moving to North Attleboro where she resided until moving to Middleboro, MA 8 years ago.
Loving nature, Susan enjoyed spending time outside in the good weather. She enjoyed camping as a pastime she shared with her grandchildren.
Left to mourn her loss are her children: Amy L. Medeiros and her husband, Jarrod Medeiros, of Middleboro, Massachusetts; Leeann Geddry and her husband, Paul Geddry, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; Wayne C. Edwards of Middleboro, Massachusetts; Joseph M. Edwards and his wife, Jennifer Mayo, of Boston, Massachusetts; and Kerri A. Thibodeau and her husband, Jonas Gonzalez, of Stoughton, Massachusetts. She was the grandmother of April and her partner, Brit; Nina, Tyler, Amanda, Jayanya, Elyza, Anthony, Samantha, Jaison, Dereck, Gabby, Jacob and Nathaniel and one great grandchild: Sonia. She was one of eleven siblings; aunt of several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Susan's Visitation on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Following visitation family and friends will be invited to attend a gathering of family and friends for continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
Burial will be private.
