Susan Lee Giese

Susan Lee (Riggs) Giese, 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 2, 2015, at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia on March 19, 1933, she was a daughter of the late George M. Riggs, Sr. and Dora A. (Martin) Riggs. She was the sister of the late George M. Riggs, Jr. and Mickey Riggs. Susan was the wife of Walter Giese until 1989. She is survived by her former husband, Walter, and their son, Glenn S. Giese. Susan completed High School in Charleston, West Virginia and lived in Miami, Florida; Cambridge, Massachusetts; Epping, New Hampshire; Lake Jackson, Texas; Attleboro and finally North Attleboro. She was an avid artist in painting, poetry, and the occasional sculpture. She studied many religious and cultural subjects before converting to Judaism. Susan was a member of Temple Emanuel in Providence, Rhode Island. Susan enjoyed being with her two cats, Nutmeg and Rosey, as well as her dog Gala. Family and friends are invited to attend a farewell visit on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Ave., Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
