Steven Clarke Robinson, 81, of Attleboro, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Robinson) Robinson, to whom he was married for almost sixty years.Born on October 1, 1934 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Leon N. Robinson and Dorothy A. Robinson.A life-long resident of Attleboro and Rehoboth, he was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1953, and attended Bryant College. Steven proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy as a Radioman Second Class. He worked as a Lineman and in central office repair for New England Telephone Co., Lucent Technologies, and Verizon Telephone before retiring in 1990. Steven was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church in Seekonk, MA, a long-time member of the Attleboro Advent Christian Church and Tremont Advent Christian Camp Meeting Association, where he served in many capacities to support the ministries. He was a proud member of the Masonic Order and had the privilege of serving as a Master Mason. Steve enjoyed woodcarving, gardening, camping and traveling, being a ham radio operator, and had taken flying lessons. He was a twenty-three year cancer survivor. Above all, Steven truly valued time spent with his cherished family.In addition to his wife, Joyce, he is survived by his beloved children: Julie P. Robinson-Uriot and her husband, Frederick L. Uriot, Jr., of Seekonk, MA; Diane "Dee" P. (Robinson) Phillips and her husband, Kevin G. Phillips, of Naugatuck, CT; Lee J. (Robinson) Whitaker and her husband, Keith P. Whitaker, of Plymouth, ME; Daniel S. Robinson and his wife, Christine A. (Carley) Robinson of North Attleboro, MA; and David C. Robinson and his wife, Gail A. (Nunes) Robinson, of Norton, MA. He leaves eleven treasured grandchildren: Jessica, Desiree, Randall, Lauren, Jill, Allison, Timothy, Mary, Michael, Chelsea, and Matthew; one dear great-grandchild, Cyndee; and was looking forward to the birth of another great-grandchild. He was the brother of Phyllis (Robinson) Berdos and her husband, Nicholas L. Berdos, of Attleboro, MA; and the late Joanne P. Robinson. Steven leaves many nieces and nephews and his large extended family.Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Avenue, Seekonk, MA.Private burial services with Military Honors will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Steven's name to Tremont Advent Christian Camp Meeting Association at "TACCA", P.O.
